Ampi Handloom Ruana
Woven entirely by hand on traditional looms, the Ampi Ruana celebrates Andean heritage through its graphic patterns and timeless craftsmanship. Its design is inspired by the Chacana — the Andean cross, a sacred symbol representing balance, connection, and continuity, translated here into a refined, contemporary textile language.
Each piece reflects the rhythm of ancestral techniques passed down through generations, transforming noble fibre into a garment of quiet elegance and authenticity.
Crafted from 100% baby alpaca, the ruana offers exceptional softness, natural warmth, and breathability, making it an effortless layer across seasons. Its fluid drape and generous proportions allow for versatile styling — worn loosely over the shoulders or wrapped for added warmth.
Subtle variations in the weave and pattern are inherent to the handloom process, making every piece truly unique.
The ruana measures 87 x 47 inches. (2.20 x 1.20 meters). It falls to approximately 43 inches (1.10 meters) when worn, including the fringes.
